Go see your doctor asap. Do not put it off when it is chest pain. It might be costochondritis that is inflamation of the chest wall but you need to go rule out anything serious. Please call doctor and go. Let us know what you find out.

I am a retired cardiac nurse and my motto is " when in doubt ,check it out " . We females present differently with cardiac symptoms as compared to men.

yes severe chest pain is very common with me I go to the emergency room quite frequently because of the pain of course they run heart tests and all of that which is normal but they all come back negative as being any heart condition then they usually just send me home after giving me an injection of morphine or Dilaudid which works for a while but then a couple of days later I'm back in the emergency room again my husband finds his very aggravating and gets very impatient he also says I'm going to be labeled as a drug seeker so he is not very helpful I have actually had to have him leave the room I've gotten to the point now that when I do go to the emergency room I make him wait in the waiting room because he just makes it worse for me he just does not understand what I'm going through he says I should have his back pain I would gladly exchange his back pain as his only issue for my fibromyalgia any day I honestly do not think he could handle having fibromyalgia I really do not get much sympathy or understanding from anyone in my family

However if that happens again, I will still go to the hospital. Next time could be my heart. You just never know. Better to be safe.

I don't have a doctor there aren't any available for regular patients. Can't see a doctor when you need where I live, they are few and far between and my last experience at emerg has left me reluctant to ever go again. I was told I was in menopause, fat, old and no longer a woman. I was also told I had a mass in my stomach and to go home and see what happens. The medical staff where I live are down right nasty and insulting and treat you like you are wasting their time especially if you are a woman and over 50, they refuse to give you any pain killers either because Fibromyalgia isn't real and all in your head or you may become addicted to them. I suffer greatly every day. And I have been to 3 different hospitals within a 90 mile area and get treated the same, every woman here does but the men come first and are treated respectfully. It is shameful.
