Yes, gluten free helps a lot - but also I can't eat corn. I did a super low allergy diet and then added things in one at a time to see what triggered the pain. As to magnesium, yes, it helps. there was a study done in the 70s or early 80's that showed that taking 400 mg magnesium at night at 600 mg (I think; I'll have to check) of Malic Acid (found in Apples; helps with ATP or energy production in the cells) was helpful for fibromyalgia. it helps me! Cardiovascular Research is the brand of Malic Acid that works for me. Hope this helps!

In search, type foods to avoid with fibromyalgia. It's not only gluten. There's other foods that makes fibro worse. πππ Also my fibro doctor had said that most fibro patients are deficient in Vitamin D & magnesium. They both help lessen the muscle spasms & help boost sleep. π΄π΄π΄
Ketogenic diet has helped me. Gluten free was only a little help, because the carb veggies seemed to cause trouble for me. My gut is a little happier and i have more strength between flare ups with the keto way of eating.
I am gluten free and do take minerals , and vitamin d3 and b 12
I have found that a clean diet is the best for me. In addition, I've cut inflammatory foods & add anti-flammatory herbs & spices to my cooking.
Most women are deficiant in Magnesium so it's a plus. I use a magnesium powder drink at night to help with sleep.
