What is that?
Hi, yes I have a blue badge but I only have it as I claim high rate PIP so get it automatically. I have had arthritis since a child but have only got a blue badge since I have been diagnosed with fibro. You can apply for a badge if you are in a wheelchair, they are so strict now and only give to people who can not walk at all.
I agree and i dont really understand why it is made so difficult to obtain one ..We dont ask much and a Badge makes so much difference to our everyday life and doesnt really affect anyone else .....I expect someone likes the power of stamping REJECTED on all application
I know it's a degrading process when trying to get help financially and for a blue badge, I really went in as if my worst ever day as I knew If didn't I wouldn't get any help and as I have had to give up full time work I really needed it. I wonder how a lot of people are getting a blue badge, I know I shouldn't judge but I do wonder when I see people pulling into a disabled parking bay and just jumping out and off they go without even a limp? It has become so strict so not sure how this is happening... I am very frustrated when I read genuine people not getting a badge and it's truly effecting their lives. My friends dad had his lower leg amputated and told not entitled to badge as he could still walk!
hi thanks for your reply ...I had a Blue badge for 6 yrs and then they decided i didnt qualify any more despite letters from my doctor .....Ive been without one for 2yrs and it has really changed my life for the worse ....now i dont go out ...Jackie
