Hi all, I was just watching NBC news and they talked about this program that was helping folks with insomnia and had a 70% success rate. I haven't even checked the site yet (just saw it on the news), but have any of you ever heard of the program or app called "Shuti" ? I'm going to check into it.
I have a hard time falling asleep before 1 or 2 am. I am on the opposite schedule as everyone else. I am so tired during the day. My boyfriend woke me up one night to ask if I was OK and I asked why? He said I was tossing and turning and moaning in my sleep so he thought I was hurting a lot. I didn't feel in pain when I was awake but, did take a pain pill. He said I did settle down a little when I went back to sleep. I rarely dream so I know I am not getting into that deep sleep like I should. I take Lunesta to go to sleep and I still don't dream, I wake up quite often to reposition myself as my hips heels will wake me up hurting. I can't remember when I went to sleep and woke to feel refreshed, maybe 20 years ago.
Have had a sleep disorder ever since I developed Fibro and it has caused a completely erratic sleeping pattern. I never fall asleep until 5 or 6 in the morning, and then never know what time I am going to wake up, but the sleepless nights certainly impact my ability to function during the day and make it impossible for me to make any commitments, because I never know what my level of exhaustion or pain is going to be on any given day or at any given time. It has been this way for ten years.
I usually sleep between 3-5 hours when I'm in a lot of pain I've been known not to sleep any for 20-24 hours despite sleeping pills, muscle relaxers Klonopin my former pcp was a hateful witch that was talking all of her patients off of narcotic pain meds so I have been suffering horribly. I had been on hydrocodone for over 20 years I only took it when I needed to not on a regular schedule. I had a heart attack about 3 months ago it was a nontypical heart attack so I have different symptoms my heart rate fluctuates from 30 -150 beats per minute I'm getting a 3 year loop heart monitor implanted in my chest today the moral of this story even if I'm in lots of pain I get tired very easily at times and I sleep during the day.
