I noticed that many people on here have trouble sleeping. I can't seem to get enough. most days I feel ok in the morning except for the pain but after 4 hours I need to sleep again. Does anyone else have this problem?

Members connected over the exhausting reality of unrefreshing sleep and constant fatigue with fibromyalgia, with many describing the need to nap after just a few hours of being awake, falling asleep during breaks or even while driving, and sleeping entire days off without feeling restored. Several members shared medications and strategies that have helped, including Elavil for sleep and pain, Nuvigil or Ritalin for daytime fatigue, vitamin D supplementation for deficiency-related exhaustion, and sleep studies to rule out sleep apnea, which one member discovered was causing them to stop breathing over 87 times per hour. A recurring theme was the frustration of others not understanding the severity of fibromyalgia fatigue, the challenge of convincing doctors to prescribe certain medications, and learning to give oneself grace rather than judgment when needing days of uninterrupted rest.

I can sleep all the time. But I know I can't. I stay exhausted, I sleep during breaks and luncheons have fell asleep on my drive home. But can't tell anyone anything. I guess they think it is all in my head....

I have to nap every day and I'm only 48. Fatigue is just a battle that many of us have to face. Heck, I don't even battle it anymore.
