I've had stomach problems my whole life but the past year it's been really bad. I noticed I was getting severe pain when my stomach is empty. Which usually means your stomach lining is inflamed. I'm always nauseated and getting cramps. Cant drink coffee anymore, because it makes it worse. And I love my coffee... I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I think it's probably one of my medications.

Members overwhelmingly related to the conversation about stomach inflammation and gastritis, with many sharing that they also experience severe pain, nausea, cramps, and have had to give up coffee due to worsening symptoms. Several members described their diagnoses, including IBS, GERD, Ulcerative Colitis, and infection, and shared medications that have helped them, such as Omeprazole, Pantoprazole, Dicyclomine, and stronger ulcer treatments, along with dietary changes like eliminating dairy, sugar, spicy foods, and following a low-FODMAP approach. A recurring theme was the frustration of managing chronic digestive issues alongside fibromyalgia, the importance of getting proper testing like endoscopies and colonoscopies, and the relief that comes from finally finding the right medication or dietary adjustment after years of trial and error.

Ask your doctor if experimenting with eliminating FODMAPs would help and then ask for help doing this because it takes guidance from a dr or Registered Dietician to do it properly and figure out the true triggers.

Yes I have changed my diet completely. At this point I eat lots of saltiness, no dairy, no sugar, or chocolate etc. Lots of raw vegetables, less beef and more chicken etc. Etc. As far as vitamins, I take lots of them plus probiotics and do herbal medicine too like tumeric and ginger root. I'm also dealing with chronic constipation too, which is something that's extremely embarrassing for me to even talk to my doctor about.

I have had stomach problems since the early 70's and have been on every medicine on the market. I am on Pantoprazole SOD 40 mg tab 2x a day. Hope they find out what your problem is and something to help.
