Members shared mixed experiences about taking Lyrica and gabapentin together or switching between them, with many describing significant side effects including severe weight gain (ranging from 15 to 45 pounds), vision problems, mood changes, and extreme swelling. Several members found gabapentin more effective than Lyrica despite the weight gain, while a few reported success with Lyrica or taking both medications simultaneously under medical supervision, emphasizing the importance of consulting a pharmacist about potential interactions. A recurring theme was the deeply personal trial-and-error process of finding fibromyalgia medications that balance pain relief with tolerable side effects, with many members ultimately prioritizing effectiveness over concerns about weight gain.

Lyrica messed me up really bad and made me have a manic episode and not sleep for days and they said it was due to the medication. I know it works for everyone different but be very careful! I didn't take those both at the same time but again be careful maybe get a few more opinions

Well I've read all ur comments n also read comments on the internet. The gabapentin is working I don't want to mess that up. Plus not many ppl have good things to say about lyrica. The only reason I wanted to try it was maybe just maybe I could lose weight. But I think I'll stick with gabapentin. ๐Ÿ’œ thank u everyone hope ur day is going well

I also take Lyrica and Gabipentin.
After some trial and error, my doctor has me trying 75mg Lyrica in the morning and 300mg gabipentin at night. It's the strongest I can handle with the fatigue being so severe. I started off with the Lyrica and found by noon my nerves endings were going crazy I couldn't stand it so she suggested gabipentin.
