I started taking Lyrica almost 2 years ago and I've noticed I'm slowly gaining weight. I try to watch what I eat and exercise. I also try to stay active. No matter what I do I'm slowly gaining. Any advice or help is much appreciated!

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that weight gain is a common side effect of Lyrica, with many reporting gains between 40 and 60 pounds, often accompanied by increased appetite and swelling, leading some to stop the medication entirely despite pain relief benefits. Several members shared similar experiences with gabapentin, describing rapid weight gain that compounded the physical challenges of limited mobility and chronic pain. A recurring theme was the difficult trade-off between managing pain and accepting unwanted side effects, with some members finding success by carefully monitoring their food intake and resisting increased hunger cues, while others chose to discontinue the medication or switch to alternatives.

I started to gain weight on gabapentin like crazy, between the meds and the lack of exercise, I've got more rolls than a bakery.
