Doc says I got diverticulitis of the colon but under investigation as I got blockage could be a tumour waiting for CT virtual scan results
Yes and it's miserable. I was told it comes with fibromyalgia . Actually I should rephrase that, I was told with the fibromyalgia , comes problems with the colon/bowels . I am miserable pretty often.
I just started an extreme elimination diet. Meat plus potato or rice and a banana for 7 days. you can have rice cakes but I hate them, and you can have cream of rice cereal or puffed rice cereal. No fiber, fruits or veggies except for potato without the skin. Then you introduce items back. I already am dairy free, soy free and gluten free. Seems like most vegetables and fruits along with brown rice cause havoc with me.
I've had IBS symptoms, but no official diagnosis. My doctor recommend I try the low FODMAP diet to figure out my triggers and I did and I'm doing so much better. It's a great little program (not a product, just a food list of common triggers) and you eliminate 5 kinds of ... foods (that's not the word I'm looking for) and then you slowly bring them back in to see what makes you sick. It didn't take long for me to find out. Who knew that apples and mangoes would send me to the toilet!
Diverticulitis, diverticula is common. I read where 7 out of 10 people have it; more so the older you get. Sometimes the pockets can get infected, sometimes they are ok. This does not come with fibro.
