Members responded to a question about severe cramping in the stomach and back during movement, with many confirming they experience similar painful spasms throughout their back and core. Several members shared helpful relief strategies including muscle relaxers, TENS units, stretching similar to treating a charley horse, and a particularly detailed technique using a medicine ball against a wall to apply pressure and loosen tight areas. A recurring theme was the collective understanding of this debilitating pain and the willingness to try different approaches to find relief.

Yes. In my upper mid back. I use a tens unit sometimes. I recently got a medicine ball. Find a wall and put the ball behind you in the area you are cramping or having a spasm and lean back hard until you find the area; move up and down; or side to side, holding the ball against your back with all your body weight until it loosens up some. Try a few times a day, even if not hurting and it will sometimes help spasms from happening as often. My friend, and occupational therapist taught me how to do this. Any hard ball will do. Hope this helps.
