What is the difference in sham acupuncture and real acupuncture? Was gonna try it but now wary??

I would be sure to find at least a masters level acupuncturist who is licensed. Not all states require licensure but good ones will go ahead and get their license.

Sham acupuncture is when they use random points as a placebo to do double blind studies comparing acupuncture results when using the correct points. Acupuncture is worth doing, no side effects and it with help with pain and relaxation
