Members connected over the experience of swelling as a potential fibromyalgia symptom, with many describing swollen fingers and rings that feel too tight, recurring Baker's cysts behind the knee, and swollen feet that often worsen during flares. Several members shared that they experience overlapping conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or vasospasms that also cause swelling, making it challenging to pinpoint which condition is responsible for specific symptoms. A recurring theme was the frustration of persistent pain and swelling that doctors often do not address or treat, though one member shared that surgical removal of a Baker's cyst eliminated the cyst itself, even though knee pain remained.

I get the swelling behind both knees. Sometimes it's one or the other or both. It radiates burning and is worse when my legs are stretched. Feels like I'm tearing the muscles. I've also felt a few lumps behind them. Has anyone had X-rays or similar symptoms?
