So I think I need a new bed, or a new mattress. It's probably not the bed that's causing me to sleep restlessly and to wake up not only exhausted but in agony all over.
However...rationally I want to fix myself and hope something new will help or even just improve the situation. So the question is, what kind of bed is the best for bad neck, shoulder and back pain? Is the divan style? Are memory foam pillows and mattresses worth the price? Much help is needed here fellow fibro sufferers!! TIA
I like Beauty Rest beds firm but with a big pillow top. They are really expensive. I have a Beauty Rest that doesn't have that much of a pillow top and I put a foamy top on it you used to be able to buy Olbus ones, I still think you can. With that extra top on mine it helps my Fibromyalgia and I sleep great. Mine doesn't have little bumps but slits in the foam top. It is a separate top I put on the mattress with what is already there and bought it separately. When I stay at a hotel I get the temperpedic mattress bed and I sleep like a baby on it. I'm not sure it is the memory foam, I haven't heard very good stuff about the memory foam.
Has anyone tried the purple mattress? Seen an add for it in Facebook. I was thinking about getting one.
Iv got one as well mines got a massager bult in to as well it grate glad My dad brought it me bless him gentle hugs
After sleeping in a chair most nights for six months, I finally broke down and bought a new mattress. It is an adjustable bed, Serta ICloud. I have to say I have slept better than I ever have since I have had fibro. It's not 100% as far as sleeping all night. Because sometimes the pain is so bad, nothing helps. But I do have to say, I sleep for atleast four hours at a time without waking up in pain. You can adjust the head higher up and also the bottom half for you legs. It really has made a big difference. The bad thing, it is expensive and I never would have believed I would spend that much on a mattress. But it has been worth it. I got mine when it was on sale for half off at Colder's Furniture Store, but I'm sure they sell them at other stores too. Good luck.
