There is so much going on with fibromyalgia until you really can't pin point all of the connections with the illness if you are wondering it can confuse you .Ask your physician he should be able to answer .
I thought of something else I didn't add previously. I don't know if you are on any psych meds (anti depressants, etc). but sometimes they can cause a drop in blood pressure (orthostatic b/p changes) when you change positions ie if you're laying down & get up suddenly. I used to tell pts when I worked, to sit on the side of the bed & be sure they feel ok before getting up. just another thought!
Meds have a side effect of dizziness . Next time at the dr. Tell them to check you just in case.
Yes lightheadedness is related to the fibro I get it all the time. It is so bad it causes me to fall many times it was one of the first symptoms I got for the first year they treated me for ear infections before they found out that I had Ms and fibromyalgia and then a year later I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis so yes it is there's not a whole lot they can do for it just have to move a little slower when you're getting up and down or turning around
I'm not sure but it's the way ur body is telling u somethings going on....not enough sleep, dehydrated, high blood pressure etc....lately my BP was up when I became lightheaded & dizzy but the cause was that my Sodium level was extremely low which caused me to become dehydrated due to my body retaining fluid.... I tend to drink more than I eat...changing my habits now
