Members widely confirmed experiencing numbness and loss of feeling in both hands and feet, with many describing it as frightening and noting that it affects their balance and coordination. Several members shared that gabapentin has been the most effective treatment for reducing numbness, tingling, and cold sensations, while others found relief through Epsom salt baths, heating pads, compression braces for carpal tunnel, and reflexology. A recurring theme was the paradox of numbness sometimes being preferable to the intense pain that follows, with members describing sensations like walking on broken glass or shards in their heels.

My feet are always cold but I have sickle trait low blood preeure. So I wear socks all the time. I love having reflexology. It's the only time my feet are warm.

I find that I have problems with my feet, it can be difficult to walk at times because the pain in my heels is so bad. They also tend to get cold easily.

Yes. Comes and goes. Also, I frequently get cramps in my feet especially after walking, like grocery shopping. I find myself stumbling a lot and uncoordinated. Sometimes I can't get my feet to warm up either and have to use a heating pad. Same with the hands. Can't open a jar if my life depended on it or hold a book for long. I drop a lot of things so I've learned to take care! This is all from the fibro I'm told.
