Members overwhelmingly confirmed that numbness, tingling, and weakness in their arms, hands, legs, and feet are common experiences with fibromyalgia, with many describing frequent pins and needles sensations throughout the day and night that often worsen after overexertion. Several members shared frustration with medical providers who dismissed or misunderstood their symptoms, with one member recounting a doctor who incorrectly stated that numbness doesn't occur with fibro, underscoring the importance of self-advocacy and persistence in seeking proper care. A recurring theme was the challenge of distinguishing which condition is causing specific symptoms when managing multiple diagnoses, though many found relief in working with providers who focus on treating symptoms rather than pinpointing exact causes.

Thank you everyone! Saw my dr today and she said I just have to find a way myself to manage my pain as there's nothing else they can test for! I suggested fibro and she said numbness doesn't occur so it wasn't even an option. I will take this back to her as I'm not giving up on them doing something! They seem to think there is no pain and I'm making it all up!

Yes! Especially in my arms. I also had repetitive stress badly a little over 10 years ago in these areas.

I wish I loved yoga but that's when I started to question my health as I couldn't support myself at all as I had no strength. When I tried I had a really high blood reading for a something beginning with K which my doc couldn't understand as it was usually a sign of a muscle injury in athletes or a heart attack. It made sense after I was diagnosed. I try and do some exercise but I'm that tired after work that I constantly don't have the energy at all. x
