@A MyFibroTeam Member a frozen shoulder is caused by scar tissue build up in an area of injury in the shoulder. Injuries such as rotator cuff or labrum tears are just a couple places where this can occur. The "frozen " part is an inflammatory response against the shoulder injury causing the build up of scar tissue or adhesions. It is not caused by Fibromyalgia however, I can attest that having a frozen shoulder is excruciating and the only relief I received was from radiografic guided injections. I actually was able to get about 60% of my mobility back in that arm. Good luck with this. It's a common occurrence among people with diabetes or metabolic syndrome.
My elbows are freezing up and very painful. My Dr. is sending me to another Fibro. neurologist as I cant find any thing for the pain. Start over hate it. 4 neurologist now.
I had my frozen shoulder long before I was diagnosed with fibro.. and I did injure my shoulder though playing tennis..
