Hi, does anyone else suffer with locking joints. I'm in the middle of a flare and have been in bed for a couple of days. After waking from a nap yesterday I couldn't stretch my legs out at the knee. My daughter had to it for me and make my knees click. The pain in them today is awful. Does anyone have any suggestions to stop it happening again x

@A MyFibroTeam Member Nikki, I had this problem for many years when I was younger, sometimes my leg would make a crack sound when it was straightened out this went on untill one day it locked and I couldnt straighten it at all. I went to the hospital where is was x rayed and diagnosed as a cartilidge problem, and over time it healed back on its own and I have never had a problem with it since with locking up, that was about 30 years ago, I am 73 now. so when it was all happening I did my best to avoid bending my leg right back at all. I hope that this could be some help to you.
Nikki take a peak at my page. These vitamins helped me so much. But ask your doctor to do a blood test and get a copy of it. Then find out what the normal levels are and compare yours
I have RA as well as Fibro and that is what happens to me. Even when I hold something for a few minutes, I cannot get my fingers out of the hold.
Hi, a friend on mine suffers alot with frozen joints. She says hers has eased alot since she started drinking a tsp of olive oil in a cup of hot water and honey every morning and night.
Guess it's worth a try.
Best wishes dear.
Hi Nikki yes I sure do. If I sleep on my back my legs lock badly & it's vey painful to straighten them. My elbows lock also. I have just started taking Magnesium supplement so will see if this helps. It's so not nice at all.
