Members connected over the shared experience of managing restless leg syndrome alongside fibromyalgia, with many describing intense burning sensations and nighttime discomfort that makes sleep nearly impossible. Several members shared strategies that have helped them find relief, including splitting Ropinirole doses throughout the evening, using cooling creams like Dermacool or Australian Dream Cream, applying pain patches such as Salonpas, taking medications like Lyrica or gabapentin, and trying unconventional remedies like placing a bar of soap near the feet. A recurring theme was the frustration of tolerating medications and the daily struggle of managing symptoms while working, balanced by the community's generous sharing of practical tools and mutual understanding of how debilitating the condition can be.

This may sound silly but it worked for me.It also stopped my legs cramps. Put a bar of soap near your feet. My sister and I give each other a new scent every Christmas.

I started experiencing chronic pain in 1975 -- My first diagnosis was for RLS as it was a major part of my pain. I did take requip for about two years (2012 - 2014) and it did help --- except that gambling was a major problem for me. The once in a while became daily - this all ended about two months after I stopped the requip. I have never tried dermacool but I am definitely going to ask for it when I see a doctor. Over the years I have tried lotions, alcohol swabs, wet cloths, ice packs - anything that could help cool the bottoms of my feet.

Thank you everyone for your help.
SMC I never thought about taking Ropinirole in 2 dosages. I usually take both pills around 7:30 and usually go to bed around 8:30-9:00.
I will give this a try.
I slept with 2 pain patches on my legs last night (Salonpas) and it seemed to help.

Lynn M that is not an option for me, since I live in Texas but thank you everyone for all your help in appreciate it so much!!!!!
