Has anyone tried steroid shots for their fibro? The one I just had is not cortisone but triamcinolone acetonide... Had this helped for anyone?

I have had Depo-Medrol injection followed by a 5-day course of prednisone ... complete relief of symptoms! Apparently, The shot was not in pressure points ... in buttocks. Doctors don't like to do it and there are no tests that support the treatment. BUT IT WORKED ... for me. I don't know if your shot is the same as mine ... but good luck!

Having all different kinds of injections, the steroid ones seem to help the beat but are limited and not good for u, and the trigger point injections can be done as often as needed and generally doesn't have any side effects. Nerve blockers work pretty good too! Injections just don't last as.long for my body

Mr doctors remind that steroid shots are unhealthy and you can only get shot put in same area a maximum of 3 times. I've had backdone, wrists, toes, ankles and neck. They are good for one day to two years. You take your chances. Yes they are a bit painful to get and rest after because I get 3 or days of worst pain following the shot.
I only agree to get the shot if exercise, heat, acupuncture, swimming or massage or drugs fail.
It's all exhausting and trial and error I believe.
The specialists in bc tell me it's just other misunderstood arthritis.
One day I will meet a nice doc who believes it's real that the bottoms of my feet hurt and burn so bad I can
Cry just to do a little Christmas baking, etc I'm sure you know.
Keep your chin up!
Don't give in

I have had plenty of these! It helps for a day or 2, but a day or 2 makes a difference!
