I got them for three years, I have fibro in the soles of my feet and it was very painful walking. The shots helped tremendously along with pain elsewhere. What they don’t tell you is long term steroid shots can cause shingles and that’s what happened to me so I had to quit the shots. My feet hurt so bad now I’m thinking of asking my pain management doc about starting them again. Ask your doctor about getting shingles if you get them long term. This happened to me about 7 or 8 years ago.

I have been getting them twice a year for over 10 years. I have Myofascial Pain Syndrome and my specialist injects lidocaine into the trigger points. It lasts 4 to 5 months and I wouldn't be able to work without the injections.

You reminded me that the Mayo Clinic warns that no more than 3 (three) steroid injections be used for joints due to tissue atrophy caused by the steroids.

I have been getting tigger point for about 18 months. I have Stenosis in my neck. The Pain Clinic puts me to sleep does the injections.
