What are some techniques you guys use to help you maintain your motivation when you're exhausted or in pain? I struggle with this on a daily basis and then I'm frustrated with myself at the end of the day when I feel like I haven't accomplished anything

Somewhere I read that we should write down the things we do accomplish throughout the day instead of focusing on all the things we don't. I started keeping a journal. Nothing elaborate, just the date, some point form notes and my general pain level that day. I'm trying to figure out my ideal activity level to reduce flares so
it helps for both.

I get really frustrated also but try to rest if I can when it hurts so bad . I try to remember there is always tomorrow. I find the one of the most trying things is feeling good and starting to do things or plan and a couple of hours later you have to lay down in absolute pain. One thing I try to do is do a little bit and then sit or lay down for a bit , then get back at it..May take a long time to accomplish things but feels good to get it done.

Thank you guys for your input, it helps so much just knowing I'm not alone in this! I'm type a for sure so feeling disappointed in myself rather than seeing the positive in the small accomplishments has been my go to reaction pretty much all my life. Time to make some changes I guess!

I struggle too with exhaustion and I get really frustrated and annoyed with myself. I can't handle the constant pain and being a let down to myself & others. My partner helps loads to motivate me, he leaves me little notes of encouragement. Also like @A MyFibroTeam Member has said try taking magnesuim & vitamin d. I started taking magnesuim about 6/7 months ago and have just started taking vitamin d. It's worth a try, take care xxx
