i have had fibro for 30 years. I was only 21 when diagnosed. I did have mnay years of depression and back when dr kovorkian was around, I did have times that i wished that he could assist me in ending my life. I would never take my own life but i know when you are hurting bad it is hard to want to live. I. Could never do that to the people who love me. I was saved about 10 years ago and i turned it over to god. He gets me through each day no matter how bad I feel. I still get down sometimes but I have learned to take one day at a time and pray that tomorriw will be better than today. I hope you find something to keep fighting for. If yiu are still depressed than it might be a good idea to try a different medication. Some work better than others. Hang in there and you always have someone to listen to you on here. I will pray for you to feel better. Hugs
Eat as many fruits and vegetables as u can,and with oxicodone u will want to get up. It won't take away the pain but will give u lots of energy.
You need to fine what helps your pain. Change doctors if you have too. Very strict diet. Learn to accept it. I turn my will and my life other to the care of god each day. Pray. Pray and pray.
I was once suicidal too. In addition to fibromyalgia I was diagnosed with bipolar depression which also has no cure (unlike clinical depression). Over 20 years ago when I was hit with all this I lost everything that was important to me: my career, my reputation, my friends, and my health. I ended up on psychiatric wards 11 times and was put on a drugstore's worth of drugs. I lost hope.
Over the last six plus years though, I struggled back. God helped a lot. This past summer I heard on our local news that researchers at Boston Medical had found the cause of fibromyalgia and a possible cure. They were going to do clinical trials which are probably happening right now. I live in MA. I'm taking care of my mother so I haven't looked further into this, but I do believe a cure will be coming within a matter of years. It's supposed to be very simple.
So please have hope. Everybody in this world will go through some trial at some point. We can never look at another soul and assume they have it easy. We all suffer and we all deserve compassion. Give yourself compassion, take good care of yourself. You are precious. It may not be obvious to you right now, but God does love you.
If your sadness doesn't pass, see a doctor about it. Don't suffer needlessly.
