Does anyone else feel as though their shoulders have been dislocated or overextended ever single day? I have trouble reaching above my head and other maneuvers because of it.

Members connected over the frustrating daily sensation of shoulders feeling dislocated or overextended, with many sharing that pain, stiffness, and limited range of motion make everyday tasks like brushing hair, lifting arms, or carrying a purse extremely difficult. Several members offered practical strategies including switching to strapless or front-fastening bras to reduce shoulder pressure, using heat or ice for relief, carrying lighter purses or messenger bags to distribute weight better, and seeking help from physical therapists, massage therapists, or physiatrists to rule out rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, or arthritis. A recurring theme was the importance of getting a proper diagnosis since not all pain is fibromyalgia-related, with members encouraging each other to advocate for assessments and stay patient as pain often shifts from day to day.

I've had shoulder pain for the last couple months. Both shoulders. Especially left one. Can barely lift it. I put Watkins medicated ointment on at night to help me sleep. Just waiting for the pain to move on because I know it will eventually.

I understand that feeling well. I switched to strapless bras in order to keep the pressure off my shoulders. I found a style that always stays in place so I never have a fashion faux pas. This easy fix has brought me tremendous relief. I'm also careful about the size and weight of my purse. Some days I can handle a beach bag and other, it's a clutch or my pockets.

Oh yes to the heavy purse. I find it hard to lift over the gear shift because I have a lot of pain on the underside of my arm.
