Members connected over the alarming experience of fingers and joints dislocating easily, with many attributing it to hypermobility or conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, while others shared struggles with Raynaud's syndrome causing fingers to turn blue and white in cold environments. Several members described practical coping strategies, including massaging hands to restore circulation, popping joints back into place when needed, and recognizing that hormonal changes during perimenopause can worsen joint instability. A recurring theme was the relief of discovering others share these frightening symptoms, along with the importance of seeking medical evaluation to identify underlying connective tissue or vascular disorders.

I have Hypermobity to and I can dislocate my thumb at will so it's normal. Hormones and other things to make hypermobity worse so maybe it's that

I'm 65 and the ends of my fingers are starting to bend sideways, but no pain in the fingers.

I never had my hands so weak just pulling down the sun visor dislocated my thumb , I had to hit it on the steering wheel to pop it back in 🙄
You could be right about lack of hormones as I’m peri menopausal 😏
