I was slim most of my life. I had to work on it by watching portion control a lot of exercises. In my late 50's I had clinical depression, anxiety and panic attacks. I was put on Seroquel for several months I was a mess. I also gained 70lb.s which depressed me more and my husband with negative comments. I refused Lyrica due to the weight gain side effect and now glad I did. I downloaded an app for counting calories. I cut out processed food completely. I lost 30 lbs, came off my blood pressure meds and began exercising again. I must pace myself or suffer a flair up. I have another 20 to go and am looking at carb counting, going organic and hormone free. I hurt no matter what so I might as well do a little bit at a time. I went from barely walking to doing a mile. My evening glass of wine is my indulgence. I am curious Debra what your diet pill is?
Counting calories....she told me because of limited mobility to stay under 1000 calories. I eat breakfast usually around 200 calories and we eat what we call "lunner " which is usually around 700 to 900. If I want something at night I eat raw veggies or homemade microwave popcorn. I drink NO soda, lots of tea and water. If I want something high calorie (always when cursing) I eat it and don't beat myself up. With the diet pill I am able to do a little more because my mood is lifted, I still have not gotten back into my simple yoga moves but I am going to.
Yes, I hate it. I've always been small, so I'm not okay with this. It seems all the meds have this side effect.
To DebraCooperPressley, Good for you! I'm glad you found a doctor who is working with you. If I may ask with fibromyalgia how are you getting the weight off? I would love to know how you are losing weight. I'm sure many fibromyalgia friends would like to know. Please help all of us!
Yes! I am having a terrible time. I am trying another diet to see if this works, if not I am going strictly high protein no carbs. This is how my daughter lost weight and she also has Fibromyalgia.
