Members discussed swelling in the feet, ankles, legs, and stomach, with many attributing it to medication side effects (particularly Lyrica and gabapentin), dietary salt intake, or underlying circulation issues rather than fibromyalgia itself. Several members shared practical strategies, including tracking swelling alongside food and activity, taking water pills, wearing compression stockings, consulting doctors about medication adjustments, and being vigilant about symptoms that might signal more serious conditions like heart problems or internal issues. A recurring theme was the frustration of distinguishing between fibromyalgia symptoms, medication side effects, and other health concerns, with strong encouragement to seek medical attention when swelling worsens or feels abnormal.

Of course it does I was 200 lbs last year in June I am now down to 140. All though the weight loss helped me with everything Fibro Osteoarthritis I still suffer with inflamation all over sometimes I still feel like the weight never left. With fear of gaining back I'm scared to take any meds. So the pain I deal with on my own. When I have a bad flare up I can be very hard to even get along with my temper n moods go threw the roof. When I am having a okay day I fear to go to sleep not knowing how I will wake up. That is if I don't have ansomnia that's a given like today it's my birthday I've slept maybe 2 hours, thankful that I don't work anymore getting married in September to a great man I don't no how he puts up with me. lol Today I will drag the pain is real n u never know what to expect next. Feel better. Sorry I tend to rattle on. I was a bartender that loves to talk n I am a good listener. Hugs xoxo thank u for sharing n being their means more than anything xo

We're never going to get a right answer when it comes to our fibromyalgia maybe it's this or maybe it's that will take this medicine well let's try this one in the meantime your body is getting filled with toxic from the meds and it just makes you feel worse

I have swollen ankles especially in my left leg and my legs are all red at the lower part of my legs near my ankles, it is said to be the veins. I think it has something to do with Fibromyalgia. They say it's circulation regarding my veins. But I read something that in some cases of Fibromyalgia they found a valve in the veins didn't work right and it was brought on by Fibromyalgia and well I think that is what is causing it. All they can do for me is have me wear special stockings which I don't tolerate well. I'm trying to loose weight because I don't think overweight is helping. I take a water pill to keep the ankles from swelling. I take a blood pressure pill too.

Hey everyone I ended up in the er cause my legs ankles n hwlpbr swollen. But my stomach Is too.
He said my stomach is probably my ibs but I need to make sure I'm going to the bathroom right. With all the meds it's hard.

Also he said swelling is normal but can be a sign of something else. He told me to watch n if it swells more or looks different to come back.
