Members discussed weight gain tied to limited exercise, medications like pregabalin and gabapentin, and emotional eating from chronic pain. Several members shared experiences with GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro, noting that results varied widely, with some losing significant weight while others struggled with nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. A recurring theme was that diet changes, staying hydrated, and gentle movement like stair walking were seen as important tools alongside or instead of medication.

Just giving my opinion, I'm older (60) and went through menopause. I never thought I'd lose weight but I was a former athlete for a long time, and a friend is a dietician and she encouraged me to try something different. Long story short I went organic. Keep in mind organic doesn't always mean it's the best. I still have to read labels but I lost a lot of weight. But I gave up all food additives and processing . I was a kid raised in it so anyone can do it. By the way my dietician's advice stuck with me " our food industry is likely causing us issues". I was also told that eliminating all that processed food was a big help in eliminating inflammation in my brain. And the most beneficial thing after two years of continuous brian fog, it lifted. Know that you hold the power and you can make a difference πŸ˜‰πŸ’—β€οΈ I am pulling for you.

I stick to the low fodmap diet, great for IBS, slow gut motility, anti-inflammatory, whole foods. No calorie counting or weighing,
no guilt, eat as much or as little as I want.
I dont have gluten or dairy which is renowned in Fibromyalgia as inflammation triggers.
For treats, i have dark chocolate, gluten free cake and who doesn't enjoy a fresh sweet peach or juicy watermelon?
I have lost 1st 8lbs in a year.
Im not going without, im eating better and reducing my inflammation
We dont need added guilt or some pill to lose weight.

You've got this πŸ’œ
