Has anyone applied for PIP and been for their face to face interview. I am due mine next week just wondered what it was like. And how successful people have been at claiming this. As I'm currently unable to work so I am looking at claiming this. I am reluctant to claim, but when you need the help I guess your stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Hi... I applied for PIP last year before my symptoms of fybro became really bad. I have sleep apnea also. The face to face was ok. Just make sure you let them know how difficult daily tasks are & how you can no longer do the things you used to. I was reluctant to as I was positive I would be able to return to work. I received the standard rate in January this year, but now as my symptoms have become worse I am reapplying. All the very best to you & good luck :)
I would recommend anyone who wants to claim go via Citizens Advice.
I've had my claim rejected, some of the reasons was because at my face to face at home I could handle a laptop, and I spoke to her. Really???
CAB have helped me appeal this and I have my hearing on Friday (24.97.15)
I know it does seem to depend on where you live.
@A MyFibroTeam Member thank you, my doctor actually wants me on ssi, but the lawyers said it can take a few rejections before I get accepted , well of course as you know I need to pay my bills , so I cant sit and do nothing, I would be happy if I just got partial, and was able to do 20-25 hrs of work weekly , that way I feel as if I am still a contributing human being...good luck to you my friend

You need to phone up and ask for a form. Of you have a look on the .gov website under PIP it will well you what information you need to give them over the phone. Then you get a 40 page form which you are usually given a month to fill in. And you need to fill it in as your worst days. You can esa too but tgats when you have been finished by work through I'll health. And cannot claim sick pay no more. You can still PIP even when working. But I can't work any more I'm too bad.
Had mine today but not holding my breath. Don't know what they are looking for. I still work full time but struggle a lot with severe pain and fatigue so am wanting to drop a day. I was honest about what I can and can't do on good and bad days. Made it clear I have pain all the time no matter what I do. Will have to wait and see.
