I have been off work for the last 6months and the job centre has sent me an appointment for a medical for disability. I am currently getting pip and am confused as didn't know you can claim for both.

Pip is the new name for disability living allowance in the UK. I understand it is very hard to be excepted and alot of people are denied this benefit. I was very lucky and got it first time round.

I'm still not sure what that is. Is it a program backed by the government somehow? I've applied and been denied twice, now awaiting a hearing. I have no income so life is tough to say the least. If there are other programs available, I would appreciate any information. Thank you.
