You are definitely not alone in this. Many MyFibroTeam members experience periods of being bed bound or largely housebound due to fibromyalgia symptoms like severe pain, fatigue, and restlessness β€” especially at night.

One MyFibroTeam member shared that their pain and exhaustion made it nearly impossible to keep up with even basic daily tasks like dishes, laundry, and meals. They described their body's limits as very real, even when life looked manageable from the outside.

Being stuck at home for long stretches can also lead to feelings of isolation, which is something many in the fibro community understand deeply. A few things that can help include:

- Setting boundaries with others to protect your energy
- Being kind to yourself on the hard days
- Leaning on your support network when you need help with basics
- Connecting with others who truly get what you're going through

The unpredictability of fibro means some days are harder than others, and that's okay. Rest when your body needs it β€” it's not laziness, it's survival. πŸ’™

I am not bed bound, at least not yet, but I do spend quite a bit of time in bed as it helps with my back and neck pain, as well as hips, knees and ankles. Plus,I can't sit in a chair, even a recliner, much more than 45 minutes to an hour without quite a bit of pain in my hips, sciatica and back. I also can't stand or walk for too long either, generally 15 to 20 minutes. Then I have to sit down or lay down. This is why I say, not yet. Because, if something doesn't change, I may end up there. I had a broken left leg knee in 2022, and it never healed right , due to a torn meniscus. Now both my knees are very bad and painful because of osteoarthritis. Anyways, I do feel bad for your need to be bed bound. I'm sure that can't be easy. πŸ˜–

Not right now, but have been before. It's one of the worst things about fibromyalgia. Doesn't happen as often now. Had to change a lot of foods, basic habits, and stay on routine as much as possible. Off routine would cause me to be bed bound for days at a time.

Been there sometimes just from over doing things. I will get so bad I am in bed for 1-2 days with leg and back pain or migraines. I have to check myself not always easy.
