The only thing I’ve found is called NAD. It’s a substance our bodies make and use. Look it up. I get mine from Amazon. I also drink lots of coffee in the morning. 😘

Are medications or over-the-counter pills helpful for fibromyalgia fatigue?

Yes, many people with fibromyalgia use both prescription medications and over-the-counter options to manage fatigue. The approach often depends on what's causing your fatigue.

Prescription medication options include:
- Sleep medications to improve nighttime rest
- Antidepressants (like Elavil) that help with sleep quality
- Pain medications to reduce discomfort that interferes with rest
- Stimulants prescribed by doctors to boost daytime energy

A MyFibroTeam member shared that taking Elavil helped them sleep through the night and significantly reduced their fatigue.

Over-the-counter supplements that members find helpful:
- B-complex vitamins (which can calm overstimulated nerves)
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B12

A MyFibroTeam member mentioned that B-complex vitamins only started working once they achieved restful sleep.

It's important to talk with your healthcare provider before starting any supplements, especially if you have other medical conditions. They can help you find the right combination and avoid potential side effects or interactions.

Some members also mention caffeine helps, though others find it increases pain or leads to energy crashes, so it varies by person.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I use the NAD also. It’s supposed to help with brain fog and fatigue. I’m not sure if it really does, not that I’ve noticed much. However, I have CFS with is a whole different level of crazy fatigue.

Nervive Nerve Relief tablets (containing
Alpha-Lipoic Acid, B vitamins, and sometimes melatonin) are designed to reduce occasional nerve discomfort in hands and feet, such as burning or stabbing, typically within 7–14 days. They support nerve health, improve nerve function, and help with sleep, usually taken as 1–3 tablets daily.
