Members rallied around someone recovering from mouth surgery with a wealth of soft food suggestions to help them eat comfortably during healing. Several members recommended protein-rich options like scrambled eggs, yogurt, smoothies, puréed soups, and nutritional drinks like Boost, as well as comfort foods including mashed potatoes, oatmeal (which can be customized for texture), applesauce, custard, and ice cream. A recurring theme was the warm, encouraging tone of the community, with members sharing personal tips like blending full meals for nutrition, using a rice cooker for steel cut oats, and adding flavorful touches like pumpkin puree and maple syrup to make recovery meals more enjoyable.

Blend your meal. For example put potatoes, chicken and string beans in a blender.

I use my rice cooker to make steel cut oats!

@A MyFibroTeam Member Oatmeal. You can make it as thick or as thin as you like or can tolerate. You can use different types of oats to play with texture too - for example, instant oats are very smooth and old fashioned/large flake are chunkier. You can also make it with milk or water and add things like pumpkin puree for more flavour and nutrition! I love adding the pumpkin and maple syrup 😋
