Members rallied around someone sharing their overwhelming anxiety, offering a variety of calming techniques and personal stories of what has helped them manage their own struggles. Several members recommended practical strategies including breathing exercises (breathing in for 4 counts and out for 6 to calm the vagus nerve and lower cortisol), body scan meditations, anxiety medications when needed, Transcendental Meditation, and the practice of leaning into anxiety rather than fighting it. A recurring theme was the power of faith, prayer, and community support, with members sharing deeply personal stories of their own anxiety journeys and offering reassurance that healing takes time, patience, and self-compassion.

Try that breathing exercise. Our minds are powerfully so is our breath. If our minds are going through anxiety the cortisol level is high. The vagus nerve which is situated in the based in the brainstem going down the back of the neck chest and abdomen. Doing the breathing let's it all know it's time to calm down. You should feel your chest loosen after a little while and your stomach will gurgle. It calming all of that and cortisol levels. Level out.
Its really relaxing I do it most nights when I haven't got chocolate in my mouth β€οΈπŸ’–πŸ’•πŸ˜˜

Have you talked to anyone about your anxiety? Your doctor or a therapist? I ended up on an anxiety medication. Without it I am literally a crazy person. My anxiety is over the top bad and I stress over everything. I feel so much more in control with my meds. I also add meditation and stretching exercises to my routine to assist with my mental health.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Awh my dear friend ❀️. Remember what St. Peter said: cast all your anxieties on him because He cares for you. And after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. Amen! @A MyFibroTeam Member
