I'm going to the doctors this week but I don't know if he will think I'm losing my mind. Sometimes I think I'm wet through like I've sat in something but I'm completely dry. Does anyone experience this?

Members strongly validated the original poster's experience of feeling phantom water or liquid sensations on their skin, with many sharing they feel similar sensations on their legs, abdomen, arms, and back that vanish when checked. Several members explained this as misfiring nerve signals common in fibromyalgia, with one suggesting a referral to a neurologist who would be very familiar with these symptoms, and another sharing a cognitive behavioral therapy technique of personifying and talking to your brain to manage these false signals. A recurring theme was relief and solidarity in knowing they were not alone in experiencing such an odd and uncomfortable sensation.

Yes. I experience this on my abdomen and on the backs of my legs.
If you are concerned or curious about this ask to be referred to a neurologist. Neurologists won’t even bat their eyes at this one, they’ve heard it all. 💛
