Members rallied around someone experiencing a full-body fibromyalgia flare triggered by stress, affirming that widespread pain affecting everything from chest and ribs to ears and eyes is a common and valid experience with this condition. Several members shared that stress is their worst enemy when it comes to flares, often requiring days of rest to recover, with many describing having to cancel plans or spend entire days in bed with ice packs after even mildly demanding activities. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of living with unpredictable pain that few medical professionals seem to understand or care about, balanced by the deep love and determination members feel to show up for family and find small coping strategies like magnesium spray, dry mouth products, and self-compassion.

I'm sorry, Lucy, that you're in so much pain. Stress is our worst enemy. It makes flare-ups so much worse. You have to teach yourself to be calmer. It's hard ,at first, but you can do it. You're a strong gal with a kind heart. Eventually you'll find ways of coping better and that will help you deal with fibro a little easier. Hang in there! Sending you a gentle hug.

Ida, hope you’re feeling better…sounds like Easter wasn’t good. Holidays are fraught with issues. I spent the day on the couch due to a very stressful day before. You are not alone!!!

I use magnesium spray too on my legs and elbows and it really helps.
