Members connected over the question of TMJ right joint dysfunction, with many sharing that they also live with this painful condition, often alongside fibromyalgia. Several members described common symptoms like ear pain, neck pain, trouble opening the mouth, and muscle spasms, with practical tips including sticking to soft foods, using a mouth guard for sleeping, and doing TMJ exercises or gua sha to reduce headaches. A recurring theme was solidarity and shared experience, with many noting flares are a regular part of life and encouraging each other to find what brings relief.

Hey Kylie! 👋
I think most of us do.

I do something similar to guasha on a regular basis and TMJ exercises. It helps keep the headaches off.

Hope you find something’s that work for you to provide relief. 💛

Yes, have had 3 operations. One on the right jaw and 2 on the left jaw. Still lots of pain. Can’t eat certain things. I’ve had my jaw wired together for 3 months. Lived on soup and blended items. Take care of it by sticking with softer foods honestly. The operations didn’t help.

Yes, I have times where it flares up really bad. Just had it confirmed by dentist and need to have a mouth guard for sleeping.
