I was reviewing D3 again. It reminded me how crucial this is to relieving so many symptoms of fibro. I was left confused because 4000 is it itu was said to be the limit, but many you tube videos are talking about 20000 or even 50000 itu. It was advised to take with K2. What level of dose are people taking. How affective has it been?

Hi Peter, I take 1,000 D3, but blood tests show I am not deficient in this - I spend quite a lot of time out in the sunshine which is the natural form of Vit D.
Just as important as Vit D is magnesium, as this is lacking in so many fibro warriors. Check out this link: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8371721/
If you don't take both these then in my opinion, you aren't doing enough to get any relief from fibromyalgia.
There are many types of magnesium. The main ones for fibromyalgia are magnesium glycinate or magnesium citrate. Neither of these will give you diarrhoea like magnesium malate. I take a 500mg capsule at night to also help with sleep.
Google this as there is so much information out there that people are not taking advantage of, and your GP will not in most cases be able to assist you.
All the best.
I was told to take D3 2000mg a day and I am longer low on vitamin D, as long as I take this. I’ve never been told why I’m low though.
Hi Peter I take D3+K2 together in one tablet they also say to take magnesium with it to help but I take that any way so bonus x
I do similar Sam. Not seen you so much I hope your okay. I have bought a much higher dose of these supplements. I will get tested privately to monitor things. Poor Lesley seems to be struggling. Take care.
