I am pulling out of the latest flare and I am realizing that I am completely unmotivated to do anything. It's not a weepy depression. I just keep fighting this thought of "Oh great I have to play catch up with everything again." Then I think "A flare is going to happen again sooner or later and I'll be right back here again...playing catch up."
100% it's an emotional and mental rollercoaster.
Day at a time. All we can do is put forth our effort each day. So much is out of our control. ๐
Yes, it's normal to feel that way. It's hard to get out of. Motivation is one of the things we have to deal with, with fatigue and flares. Moving can help the most. Walking one- block can help. Your fav music can help you want to dance. A hot tub, a jacuzzi or a hot bath can do wonders to lift your mood. Getting a massage definitely helps. A good educated PT who knows what Fibro really is, can does wonders. A uneducated PT can make you worse, much worse. Big time flares can happen. With my PT, that is how I learned to even walk up stairs again. Getting info on exercises to do in the house. Messaging to this group can help. Even watching a cheery show. Get moving anyway you can. You can do it. Never give up. Never give up. Get started now on something small. I know you can do it
