This time of year is hard enough but high pain and depression hitting along with stress of the holiday makes it 10x worse. Please help. My dog was diagnosed with cancer and my wife has a lump that appeared beside her breast as well getting checked on the 27th. Don’t know what to do (AHHHHHHH) screaming in my head.

Members rallied around someone struggling with physical pain, depression, holiday stress, and scary health news about their dog and wife all at once. Several members offered comfort through prayer, breathing exercises, funny movies, coloring, and leaning on pets for peace and companionship. A heartwarming update followed, with the original poster sharing that his wife's lump turned out to be a cyst and that he was able to enjoy Christmas with his family.

I’m so sorry you and your wife are going through alot, especially around the holidays. Our family is going through some different tough stuff and so my first reaction is prayer and if that’s not something you want to or like to do I understand, not everyone does or believes the same thing. Coping skills are great too, or finding a relaxing activity to help you in the immediate moment such as coloring or playing a game on your phone or together. One of mine is watching funny shows and movies. And managing depression and pain with medication, therapy, and other things could also help. I hope that you both find support and things that help as you continue to navigate this season of life.
