Can I please call on your wealth of experience and knowledge when I ask you what natural supplements do you take? I already take magnesium, vit B & evening primrose but I am thinking more about exploring and trying others. I don't know if this is the best approach to take, but I reckon if anyone can/will give me honesty in their answers, it's all of you. Right now I am open to all suggestions about supplements (I shall be exploring therapies another time, fairy steps). Thank you x

Members enthusiastically shared their supplement routines in response to a question about natural remedies, with turmeric, magnesium, vitamin D, and B vitamins emerging as the most commonly used options alongside fish oil, CoQ10, probiotics, and essential oils. Several members described their personal protocols, including dietary changes like eliminating gluten, dairy, refined sugar, and processed foods, with many reporting that these modifications reduced pain and bloating, while others mentioned CBD oil, kratom, and specific products like kefir probiotics and aloe shots as helpful additions. A recurring theme was the importance of doing personal research, trying things gradually to see how your body responds, and being cautious about interactions with prescribed medications, with many members emphasizing that becoming your own advocate and experimenting thoughtfully had been key to finding what works for their individual bodies.

It's not easy if you rely on bread or sweets or dairy or caffeine. I first went gluten free then went dairy free and then cut out caffeine and all sweets which was the hardest. Paleo helps my fibro. If I were to eat a sandwich with bread and a class of milk which is diary and a cup of coffee, with a cookie. I would be hurting like hell! You cut out all processed foods and eat whole foods. Just make your mind up and do it.

I take magnesium. Liquid B12 and Coq10 and biotin for my hair and nails. I also take Spirulina powder it's a food. 5HTP and occasionally melatonin. I have huge bags of supplements, some I take for a while then I stop. I can't take prescription drugs, so I experiment. I take a vitamin pack that has the important vitamins in it, it's designed by the doctor I am seeing. He gave me free packs to see if it agrees with me. I like it. I use essential oils and I take Epsom salt baths, and I use a tens unit. I go to a great chiropractor and get massages. I tried acupuncture and it's not for me. I also find if I get out and do some kind of exercise even if it's just walking I feel better. I eat a clean diet no gluten and no diary, no caffeine, it's a Paleo diet. I try to stay positive and count my blessings.

I take a probiotic called kefir made by a company called the chuckling goat. It's amazing! It replaces all the good bacteria in your gut (microbiome) which gets damaged by stress, antibiotics, sugar and toxins etc.. As if you have a healthy gut this is supposed to help the rest of your body. I've found after doing 3 courses my flare ups seem shorter, I'm sleeping better, and feel better in myself all round. I also have IBS and I'm not bloated anymore. Google it and read the website and see what you think:) I know nothing will cure fibro but I defiantly feel better and can't recommend it enough xx

@A MyFibroTeam Member go slowly with new diets and see how you respond. I was very sick on Paleo but going gluten free has changed my symptoms. I need to be more strict with my diet overall, but for me personally gluten was the main culprit. Pay attention to your symptoms with different methods.

I really believe in the essential oils. They have helped me. Also I take vitamin C, D and B12. I take Juice Pluse which has really helped me. I take liquid fibro, and pomegranate, liquid melatonin. Also spray on my arm before bed magnesium oil. I have a few other things I take but don't have them with me at the moment as I am downstairs and just can't climb the stairs to get the name.
