When your family is going on rides, I would skip every second ride and rest. I made a huge mistake in 2016 to go to Europe and do lots of walking and when I came back I had months of physio and I ended up later on having to use a cane for a year. If I knew how bad it would have been I would have rested more. Or alternatively get a walker or if there are rental scooters, please do yourself a favor and rent one for yourself. It will be well worth the rental and this will help the family too to bring their backpacks.

I went to foster shoes to get fitted for mine. Your doctor can recommend the tightness you need.
