You open your eyes you don't really feel any pain you lay there for a second and you're like this is the day that I'm gonna feel better. This is amazing and then you sit up in a rush of pain floods over you and everything is back from the day before?! It makes me want to sleep my entire life away and luckily enough I have the opposite problem of not being able to sleep. Fibromyalgia has caused me to be somewhat narcoleptic which is why I think I also have CFS.

Members connected over the cruel irony of waking up pain-free for just a few seconds before fibromyalgia pain floods back, with many sharing that mornings are their worst time of day. Several members offered practical strategies that have helped them cope, including mindful stretching before getting out of bed, hot showers, taking Gabapentin at night to reduce nighttime tossing and turning, and using medical cannabis. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of chronic pain and sleep disruption, balanced by deep gratitude for even brief moments of relief and the solidarity of fellow warriors who truly understand.

Thank you ladies for all your answers. I will never complain again for at least getting those few seconds of being pain free... its a luxury that not all of us get. Thank you for sharing my fellow warriors ❤️

Mornings first thing are my worst time even though I sleep pretty well ! ! I wake up and immediately feel pain everywhere and I feel frozen and just can’t move ! I start doing gentle stretches, then painkillers and then head for a hot shower!

Hello. Mornings are the worst, my pain is always there just in different degrees. Mindfull stretching for a few minutes before I even sit up is helpful. I stretch each part of my body while concentrating on the feeling of the stretch. Good luck and hope your day is tolerable 😊
