What Tricks Do You Use To Handle The Pain From Weather Changes
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

The triple whammy. OsteroArthritist, Neurophathy, fibromyalgia all react negatively to cold rainy weather. It doesn’t happen concurrentlly, but they stack. Putting the pain in the stratosphere.
The last two winters have been brutal. Blizzards and record breaking rain fall. Since controlling the weather is impossible, how do i survive?

I try to keep warm by using heating pads and hot water bottles and applying Voltaren gel, wearing hiking socks made for low temperatures, fingerless gloves, and multiple layers. And I try to be positive. My S.A.D. lamp helps with that as does study and reading my Bible.

We’ve had several years of cold winters too. Right now this big storm is going. I have pain in weird places when it gets stormy. I have the “infrared” heat pad that helps with cold and pain. I have a full length one that I love. Also I take extra Tylenol and CBD. Wear my legwarmers and cashmere socks! not do too much exercise etc... but make sure I’m moving around and stretching a bit. Stay inside when it’s really bad out here. I have arthritis too, so I watch the” AccuWeather” report on the Internet. It has readings for arthritis. When it’s moderate or higher, I know I have to be careful

I also share this trifecta, and this brutal wind and cold do not help. Winter was always my favorite time of year; never in my like would I have believed I would be indoors so much. We each find what seems to help us and somehow manage to get through the really bad times. One of the most effective, for me, is gratitude. I can't be grumpy if I'm being grateful. Reading, too, if I can find a really good book - and if my brain isn't sludge 😬 A lot of self care; paying attention to what does work and avoiding the triggers.
Gentle hugs 🤗

@A MyFibroTeam Member,
Sis, the wind has been so strong today and the rain is nonstop. I have been inside all day, my back and hip are still hurting.
I hope you are doing alright.
💖🤗❤️😊🌹
