I have been struggling every time there’s weather changes, such as from sunny to cloudy with rain forecast. None of my medications, including my opioids do not work. Wondering if anyone has any solutions because this is making me lose my mind

Members shared deeply about how weather changes, especially shifts to cooler temperatures and rainy conditions, intensify their chronic pain in areas like the back, legs, hips, and neck, with many noting they feel better in warmer months. Several members described practical comfort strategies, including heat mats and hot water bottles, warm showers, rest periods, gentle exercise, creative outlets like coloring mandalas, and in one case, a single glass of brandy sipped slowly for relief. A recurring theme was how differently each person experiences seasonal changes, with some exhausted by summer heat while others thrive in it, underscoring the deeply individual nature of chronic illness and the importance of finding personalized coping tools.

Just to say we are all so different. I am more exhausted in summer and have to rest more. If the weather changes to cloudy on the way to rain, I get worse. I may ache in cooler weather, but I usually have less pain and feel better. It is easier for me to warm enough, but harder for me to cool off.

I know what that feels like.
I have seasonal affective disorder & it’s very real.
I usually turn to doing my art, in my case, I enjoy coloring Mandalas., using pens & pencils.
I also may put on some music that I enjoy.
Sometimes just soaking in a hot shower feels good.
Or getting absorbed in a show that u enjoy.
