Members connected over the frustrating experience of swollen glands during fibromyalgia flares, particularly in the jaw area, with some sharing that ear and jaw pain are also common during flare-ups. Several members offered practical remedies, including applying thyme essential oil mixed with a carrier oil to the affected area two to three times daily, taking oil of oregano capsules, and chewing gum briefly for temporary relief while being mindful not to overdo it and worsen jaw pain. A recurring theme was the overlap between fibromyalgia and chronic Lyme disease, with members discussing how similar symptoms can lead to misdiagnosis and noting that living in tick-populated areas and feeling better on antibiotics may indicate undiagnosed chronic Lyme.

Thank you, I will try the thyme oil as well.

I have had 1 tick bite and was positive for lyme. I was given a 28 day course of antibiotics. I had another bite many years prior that was never tested as lyme was not as prominent then as it is now. My ND feels that since I always feel better when on an antibiotic or when taking the oregano capsules that I could very well have chronic lyme. We shall see.

I do live in an area with a very high tick population and a lot of positive lyme cases.

I have tried CBD and it didn’t really do much.

Thank you for your response and assistance.
