Members shared their experiences with discomfort after eating pasta or macaroni, with many pointing to tomato-based sauces as a common trigger for fibromyalgia flares, while others identified starches like white pasta, bread, and rice as sources of hiccups, indigestion, and bloating. Several members offered practical strategies, including switching to whole wheat or gluten-free alternatives like rice noodles or spaghetti squash, making sauces from scratch, using brands like Rao's for a gentler option, and trying an elimination diet to identify gluten intolerance. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error journey of managing food sensitivities, with members expressing empathy for the challenge of navigating dietary restrictions and offering encouragement to keep experimenting until finding what works.

For hiccups and bloating try something carbonated. I have an appliance to add carbonation to water. I prefer beer, but the sun isn't always over the yard arm.

I eat too much white potato and I'll hurt more too.
But potato chips are fine as are fries. 🤔🤨 Must break down something in the potato.
Pork is also hard for me to digest. It has to be well done.

Oh goodness rice also has given me very hard hiccups or almost choking and then sick.
Have to toast it with some butter in the cast iron skillet first and the add lots of water and
cook it well. This is minute rice.
I don't eat pasta very often.
