Ok for lunch today I had macaroni and tomato sauce ( sauce not spaghetti sauce the cheap 50 cent can) My Mom used to make it for me when I was growing up.( if I asked her she would make it for me now) We didn't have a lot of money at times and she used to make yummy things out of very little This is one of my favorite comfort foods...... what's yours and who used to make it?

Members bonded over cherished comfort foods that connected them to loved ones, especially mothers and grandmothers who made dishes like mashed potatoes, meatloaf, pot roast, scalloped potatoes and ham, apple crumble, and tuna casserole. Several members shared how these simple, home-cooked meals carried deep emotional meaning, with many remembering family members who had passed away but whose recipes and love remained vivid through food. A recurring theme was how comfort food serves as both nourishment and memory, linking past generations to present ones through shared recipes and the warmth of being cared for.

Meatloaf. I love it especially in the winter, and then use leftovers in sandwiches. I remember my mom making it and the house smelled great.

A small piece of delicious cake. My bakery makes very small gorgeous patty cakes with a candy rose on top. If I need one I go down and get it. But I also like apple pie slice. custard slice or any concoction with custard Yummy.
