I totally know how you feel and what you are going through. I've been suffering like this since 2007. I've lost complete faith in the medical profession...even had my repeat proscriptions stopped by a locum who's not my doctor .. And he'd never even seen me face to face...I tell various doctors at my local clinic about all my symptoms to be told half of it is possibly in my head. I know it is not, and if I have ten or more symptoms at once.. It is completely real...I no longer can work...and simple housework is also a concern....I hope you have better doctors around you who show more compassion ...My deepest regards

I'm sorry to hear how badly you have been treated. I have had no input from my gp at all since my diagnosis..she says that all they can do is prescribe pain killers that I don't want to take. I've recently saw in fibro uk group about cbd patches...I'm thinking of trying these. It's a lonely illness I have realised...as no-one in my family or friends circle quite understands it. I struggle to understand it myself...

I find that many Drs on the tele etc. tell us this is just gas bubbles bursting. Don't know how you get those popping noises to combine to grating and a thud followed by sensations in parts of the body usually south of the 'cracks'. Yes, some of it is gas but I don't know if these cracks and bangs causes any unseen damage but I have to almost break my neck to get it to release just enough for me to try and ignore it. I wear a neck brace especially when sitting or a passenger in a car. I'm waiting to see a spinal surgery unit after my MRI scans caught up with what I have been reporting for years; but I'm still waiting just for an appointment letter despite the fact that I have severe nerve impingement. Hoping that this will bring to light if it is the growths on my spine near the nerves that is responsible for the neck and then also the rest of the spine.

I have had my condition for some 30 plus year when in my 20s. It eased off for a period of 5 or 6 years but was always there. From 2007 it has got progressively worse leading to having to give up work and semi retire early in 2020.

Yes when stretching or exercising any joint really but also the centre of my chest. The wrist and fingers, but more especially the neck. This is the area that concerns me the most.

I was told by an idiot (Medical professional) that it's just nitrogen bubbles popping.

Whilst some of what I experienced could be that it was just a superficial throwaway statement. Nothing about the grinding noises, the loud cracks, the sound of which my wife and daughter ( for the American audience they are 2 different people πŸ™„) hear regularly. The pain is driving me nuts. Some said it could be related to a TMJ.

I had some investigations into TMJ but that ended with another idiot who said they would not be operating despite 2 years of telling me it is a TMJ and they need to operate. I can't open my mouth more than from the finger tip to around the first joint about 1 1/4" around 30mm.

TMJ can only explain one part of the neck.

The other stuff effects the face and head, the arms and legs, the feet especially the soles.

I have arthritis in my finger joints, my toe joints, the base of my spine and the lumbar area. I wonder if this is in the neck as well.
