I have restless leg syndrome which comes with my fibro but at the moment I seem to be getting it constantly and I can't take to many pills for it as the dosage is up to 4 a day but my restless legs is getting unbearable at the moment it even starts if I have an itch and scratch it my legs start again
I have noticed my legs becoming quite sore in the night lately. I take Oxycodone and Co-codamol for all my pain. How do you find your analgesics work for you, if you don't mind me asking.
Thanks Sam x
Gabapentin works the best for me (I can't sleep without it due to the severity of my restless leg syndrome), but if you don't want to try more medications I'd recommend magnesium (just not together at the same time as Gabapentin and it can decrease the effectiveness). You can take it orally and/or use it topically (Theraworx has been a miracle for me for my leg pain, it's topical magnesium that relaxes the muscles and gives me better pain relief than most medications I've tried. For some reason the foam works better for me than the spray, and it's easier to apply too). I've also heard that epsom salt baths are good as well since you can absorb the magnesium that way too.
CBD/THC lowdose stops it ,, my son also bought me a weighted blanket for christmas although ive only tried it once,, not sure i like it yet or if it makes things worse ,, i'll have to keep experiementing with it
Ask doctor about ropinorole
Check iron levels. If on iron supplement, check if it gets absorbed properly. It needs to be taken with additional supplements to get ideal absorption.
For some people coffein helps. I remember reading it somewhere. Also gentle massage before bed.
